Indiana American Water Supports Howard County School Readiness Efforts

Indiana American Water’s Kokomo District recently provided school supplies to two kindergarten classes at Sycamore School in support of the United Way of Howard County’s 75in5 Program. The Howard County community had noticed that children were not starting school ready to learn and instead lacked key cognitive, social, emotional and language skills that are vital for further brain development.

The United Way and community leaders have set a community-wide goal, aiming to raise the percentage of Howard County Kindergartners’ readiness levels from 45% currently to 75% in 5 years.

This is the Kokomo district’s 4th year supporting the program.
